Hi,

I’m not familiar with Sleep Number beds as i’ve never reviewed any. For your son, i’d recommend looking into some of these non-toxic mattresses that we have reviewed.

Take a look at these mattresses. They will give good reinforcement/edge support, and there are all great for couples.

This info is good, but know one ever asks about couples on these mattresses. My husband weighs 230 and I weigh 190. When we get into bed I have to hang on to the side of the bed so I don’t roll to the middle. Our current mattress is 9-10 years old. Which mattress would be good for us? Jill

I was totally unaware of the VOC dangers of mattresses before as I new very little about memory foam and air mattresses. The sleep number bed has both a memory foam topper and an air bed chamber. The air bed chamber smells the worse! I am currently airing out the components in his room with the window open. I am considering putting both outside dependent on the weather but I am hestiant due to critters (stray cats, dogs, mice, etc. )

Maybe moving the components to another area of the house will be better but the foam is heavy and may tear.

Do you know any about sleep number beds? After airing out will this bed be safe for him in his condition? Thanks!

We just recently received our second warranty bed replacement from Tempurpedic. It is nothing like the one we tried in the store and is putting off a horrible chemical smell. Do you know if Tempurpedic uses returned beds as warranty replacements? Because it is a replacement bed our 90 day trial period is not available and we are stuck with this horrible bed. They talked us in to upgrading with $$$$. I feel horribly scammed!!
